Cheyenne Positive Coronavirus Cases Now At 53

There are currently 53 documented positive cases of COVID-19 in Laramie County as of Thursday, April 9, 2020.

CHEYENNE (4/9/20) – There are currently 53 documented positive cases of COVID-19 in Laramie County as of Thursday, April 9, 2020. A total of 51 of the positive individuals are residents of Cheyenne, one from Burns, and one from Pine Bluffs. Laramie County has 16 additional probable cases which means they have had close contact with a positive individual and are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. A total of 21 individuals in the county have recovered and 32 are still considered active cases. In addition to the new cases, more than 100 individuals who have had contact with these patients have been placed into quarantine to monitor for possible symptoms.

The State of Wyoming currently has a total of 230 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19, 94 individuals are considered recovered, 136 are active, and there are no Wyoming resident deaths associated with the virus. Due to the community transmission, CDC continues to recommend social distancing, covering sneezes and coughs, frequent handwashing, and staying home when sick.
