Laramie County Community College Ranch Horse Team Places In Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association Competition

Riders are not required to provide their own horses for competition, they are provided by the college's.

CHEYENNE, Wyoming – Laramie County Community College Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) team members finished in the top-10 at the IHSA hunt seat competition in Fountain, Colorado, Nov. 13 – 14.

Students competed at this contest in western horsemanship which involves rail work and individual patterns that show the ability of the rider to control and guide the horse through the elements, including circles, lead changes, stop and back.

Saturday’s Competition Results:

  • Anna Bossman – first place
  • Taylor Fawcett – third place
  • Haley Wade – fourth place
  • Bo Tilton – fifth place
  • Isabelle Seivley – sixth place

Sunday’s Competition Results:

  • Anna Bossman – sixth place
  • Bo Tilton – fifth place
  • Isabelle Seivley – fifth place
  • Haley Wade – fifth place
  • Taylor Fawcett – fourth place

IHSA welcomes beginners through advanced riders in the hunter and Western disciplines to compete individually or on a team. Men and women compete with and against each other. Riders are not required to provide their own horses for competition, they are provided by the college’s, allowing students at all experience levels to compete.
