• Ujifusa family honored as G&F Landowner of the Year (wyodaily.com) — Evanston recently hosted the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission meeting where the Ujifusa and Thronveit families were honored as 2026 Landowners of the Year for decades of conservation-minded farming in Washakie County. Their decision to keep 871 acres open to public hunting access, rather than lease to outfitters, has supported wildlife habitat, local hunters, and reduced state damage claims, earning praise from state officials.
