• City Now Accepting Applications for Citizen Academy (sheridanmedia.com) — Sheridan residents can now apply for the City’s first-ever Citizen Academy, a free program that runs Wednesday evenings from August 12 through September 30. Adults 18 and older will tour city facilities, see operations up close, and learn how to get more involved in local government, but only 20 spots are available and applications close July 15, 2026.

• Michael Wayne Kadrmas (kbhbradio.com) — Sheridan readers are invited to remember Michael Wayne Kadrmas, who grew up here under the shadow of the Bighorns and carried that love of the mountains throughout his life. The longtime orthopedic trauma surgeon, Air Force veteran, and devoted family man died May 29 in Rapid City, with a Celebration of Life planned there on July 6. His mother and in-laws still live in Sheridan.
