Tour Bus Catches Fire on I-880, No Passengers, No Injuries
There were no passengers on board at the time of the fire.

The California Highway Patrol has shut down the Oak Street off-ramp from northbound Interstate Highway 880 in Oakland where a tour bus caught fire this evening. The incident was first reported at 6:18 p.m., and the ramp was shut down at 6:42 p.m. to give firefighters time to clean up the scene, CHP officials said.
There were no passengers on board at the time of the fire and the driver was found nearby, according to CHP Officer Sean Wilkenfeld. No injuries have been reported. Based on statements from the driver, personnel on scene have determined that the incident was an engine fire, according to Wilkenfeld.
As of 7 p.m., the burned bus had not yet been towed and there is no estimate for when the Oak Street off-ramp will reopen.
