Roswell Publix Shooting: Teen Victims Were Posed, Autopsy Says
Jeffrey A. Hazelwood is charged with the murders of Natalie Henderson and Carter Davis, both 17.

ROSWELL, GA — The autopsy reports of the two 17-year-old teenagers shot dead behind a Roswell Publix grocery store have been released and are providing some insight into the tragic events.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office on Thursday released the reports for Carter Davis of Woodstock and Natalie Henderson of Roswell.

According to the report, both teens "lay supine on the asphalt pavement," and sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

"The male victim had been possibly posed in a cross-like position, with arms fully extended to his sides at shoulder height," Dr. Michele T. Stauffenberg states in the report, adding Davis was found to the right of the rear tire of a black Toyota Camry bearing a South Dakota license plate.
It also notes that Davis was only wearing a pair of black elastic shorts.

The position of Henderson, according to Stauffenberg's report, was more provocative. She was found lying next to the left front fender of a Honda CRV. She was also nude and possibly posed in a "sexually explicit fashion," the report adds.
Due to the position of Henderson's body, officials prepared a sexual assault evidence kit, which was sent to the State Crime Laboratory for processing. However, the report notes there were no signs of injuries around Henderson's genitalia.
Jeffrey Andrew Hazelwood, 20, has been charged with two counts each of murder, theft by taking and aggravated assault in connection to the murders. He also faces one count each of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and identity fraud.
Hazelwood remains held without bond at the Fulton County Jail and will appear in court on Friday, Aug. 19 for a preliminary hearing.
The bodies of both teens were discovered around 6 a.m. Aug. 1 behind Publix at 885 Woodstock Road in Roswell.
Davis was a rising senior at River Ridge High School in Woodstock while Henderson was preparing to start her final year at Roswell High School.
The autopsy reports for both teens note each were in good health, and that a parking space separated the respective vehicles they drove to the scene. According to the reports, both were possibly shot by a revolver, but no shell casings were located at the scene of the crime.
Doctors were also able to determine that Carter was sporting a blue bracelet with the words #taylorstrong inscribed and that Henderson had a feather in her hair. Both teens also had minor cuts, abrasions and burns on their feet.
