Arrest Made In Murder of Teens In Roswell
A 20-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection with the deaths of Carter Davis and Natalie Henderson, both 17.

ROSWELL, GA — A Roswell resident has been arrested in connection to the murders of two teenagers who were found dead Monday morning behind a Publix grocery store.
Roswell police detectives arrested Jeffrey A. Hazelwood, 20, around 5 a.m. Wednesday morning, the agency announced.
Both Natalie Anne Henderson and Carter Davis, each 17, were discovered by a delivery truck driver behind the store at 885 Woodstock Road around 6 a.m. Aug. 1.

Following the discovery, investigators reviewed surveillance footage and spoke with anyone "who may be able to contribute information," Roswell police stated.
That detective work, Roswell police added, led to the identification of Hazelwood as the suspect in the double homicide. Investigators tracked down Hazelwood early Wednesday morning and questioned him at the Roswell Police Department.

Police Chief Rusty Grant declined to release a motive in the shooting, and noted detectives believe Hazelwood acted alone at this time. He also declined to release how the suspect and victims knew each other.
"It's still a very active investigation," he added.
The announcement comes on the heels of investigators executing a search warrant Wednesday morning at an East Cobb home on Gilhams Road, which sits off Mabry Road just outside the Roswell city limits.
Davis, who lived in Woodstock, and Henderson, a resident of Roswell, each died of a single gunshot wound to the head, the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office previously told Patch.
Henderson was a student at Roswell High School, while Davis attended River Ridge High School in Woodstock. Davis was set to return to school on Monday while Henderson's first day would have been Aug. 8.
Hazelwood is currently being held at the Roswell Detention Center on two counts of murder, and will be transferred to the Fulton County Jail.
"The Roswell Police Department would like to thank the families of the victims, the public and local businesses for their support and information along with other agencies that assisted including the GBI, Sandy Springs Police Department, Cobb County Police Department, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Woodstock Police Department, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office and the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office as well as the Fulton County and Cherokee County school systems," Roswell police said.
