Naperville Has Second Best Public Schools in Country
The ranking was based on state test scores, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality and student/parent reviews.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville, yet again, has been named on a “best” list. This time, it’s the No. 2 city with the best public schools in the country.
The ranking was based on state test scores, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality and student and parent reviews, according to Niche, which released the rankings.
According to the report, Naperville has an average graduation rate of 93.8 percent, more than 10 percentage points higher than the 82.2 percent national average. Schools also have a 17:1 student-teacher ratio. The national average is 16:1.

In first place is Arlington, Virginia. Third place is Plano, Texas; fourth is Bellevue, Washington; and fifth is Cambridge, Massachusetts.
In July, Naperville was named the best city to live in Illinois. It has also been named wealthiest in the midwest, third most successful city in the U.S. and one of the safest cities to raise a child.
