Hoboken, NJ – In what is becoming an oft-heard phrase this year, another water main break has been reported in Hoboken.
The latest break caused service disruptions for local residents on Monday morning, city officials announced in a Twitter post at 4:20 a.m.
According to the city’s alert, the latest break forced the closure of Garden Street from 1st to 2nd Streets.

Suez crews were on the scene repairing a six-inch broken main, city officials stated.
Customers on the block were expected to be without service during the repair effort, city officials stated.

The city’s social media announcement inspired some questions among residents:

Monday’s incident took place just a few blocks from a large water main break in the area of Clinton and 1st Streets last week, which caused a sinkhole that swallowed a local motorist’s car.
