Plans call for terraced seating, native trees, better walkways, and sustainable landscaping to support festivals, performances, and local vendors while preserving the historic courthouseā€™s character.

Athens mayor says no plans for housing at Lincoln Bridgeforth Park; upgrades set for $1.5M renovation (rocketcitynow.com) ā€” Athens leaders are moving ahead with a $1.5ā€“$1.8 million renovation of Lincoln Bridgeforth Park, adding a splash pad, walking trail, and updated tennis and pickleball courts while legally consolidating the parkā€™s parcels. Owner Chelsea Cobb hopes to rebuild her program, planning to restart classes next week with two remaining horses and asking the community to support them by enrolling in lessons or donating online.
