Birmingham Restaurant Week 2019: What To Know
What has become a regional attraction in Birmingham will celebrate its 10th incarnation in August.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The 10th annual Birmingham Restaurant Week presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama will be held Friday, August 16 through Sunday, August 25. The 10-day event celebrates the city’s nationally-acclaimed culinary culture by offering incentives for Birmingham residents and visitors to dine at their favorite restaurants or try something new, all while celebrating the landmark eateries that helped put Birmingham on the culinary map.
BRW will give 60 restaurants the opportunity to showcase all the ways they are feeding the city – from filling vacant spaces and creating locally-sourced dishes to mentoring the next generation of culinary greats. Registration for restaurants to participate closed July 1.
A total of 45 restaurants are participating in the 10th annual event. See the full list of Birmingham restaurants participating.

The participating restaurants include FoodBar, a Cahaba Heights favorite; Rojo, a Highland Park staple; Saw's Soul Kitchen, one of the city's most acclaimed barbecue joints; The Cowfish, a unique fusion of sushi and burgers; and Chez Lulu, a mainstay in Mountain Brook's English Village. These are just a sampling of the dozens of local eateries to choose from during the week.
Participating restaurants have special lunch and dinner menus during the 10-day event. According to organizers, price points are set at $5 increments from $10-$50 per person. While no special reservation is required to take advantage of restaurant week, organizers recommend making reservations at restaurants that take them.
