2020 Election: Polling Location Changes For Jefferson County

In 2020, several of the voting precincts in Jefferson County have changed. Find out where you vote in November.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — As the Nov. 3 election gets closer, voters in Jefferson County that are voting in person rather than absentee likely already know where they are supposed to vote, but many may not realize that their voting locations may have changed.

Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill has set up a website for voters to easily find their polling locations.

But those in Jefferson County who are used to voting in a certain location may not realize that location has changed. The Jefferson County Probate Court has provided this list of precinct changes in the county:

Those voters who have applied for absentee ballots can mail their ballots or drop them off at the Jefferson County Courthouse.

What to bring — voters must have a valid form of identification. Options include the following valid documents:

  • Alabama driver’s license or non-driver ID card
  • Alabama photo voter ID card
  • State-issued ID (from Alabama or another state)
  • Federal-issued ID
  • U.S. passport
  • Employee ID from the Federal Government, State of Alabama, County, Municipality, Board or other Alabama entity
  • Student or employee ID card issued by a college or university in the state, provided it includes a photo
  • U.S. military ID card containing a photo
  • Tribal ID card containing a photo
