Here are the top three stories today in Birmingham:

  1. Alabama Adventure and Splash Adventure is open, welcoming back guests for the summer. Throughout the off-season, many renovations were made for guests to have an enjoyable experience this summer, including a new rollercoaster. Birmingham residents are excited to return to the park, which is open seven days a week until mid-August and will close on Labor Day weekend. (WIAT - CBS42.com)
  2. The 'Buy Black Bham' campaign has launched in Birmingham. Throughout June, non-profit Urban Impact is encouraging residents to shop at Black-owned businesses around the neighborhood. There are more than 400 Black-owned businesses throughout the city. (WVTM13 Birmingham)
  3. In-person Pride celebrations are continuing this weekend. Tonight, head to the Funky Food Truck Festival at Cahaba Brewing Company and relax on the patio with AIDS Alabama while enjoying your favorite brew.
