Alabama's Coronavirus Death Toll Reaches 560, Cases Top 14,600
Hundreds of new coronavirus cases were reported in Alabama over the Memorial Day weekend.
MONTGOMERY, AL — More than 550 COVID-19 patients in Alabama have died, as the state surpassed 14,600 total cases of the virus, the Alabama Department of Public Health confirmed Monday afternoon. The state has now confirmed 14,632 cases of the virus, up from 13,766 reported Saturday morning.
The ADPH has confirmed 560 deaths from COVID-19, an increase of 19 from Saturday morning.
Just under half of the state's new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in three counties — Mobile, Jefferson and Montgomery.

- Mobile County: 2,027 confirmed cases; 19,308 tested; 111 deaths
- Jefferson County: 1,625 confirmed cases; 34,297 tested; 88 deaths
- Montgomery County: 1,209 confirmed cases; 8,084 tested; 32 deaths
- Marshall County: 649 confirmed cases; 5,008 tested; 9 deaths
- Lee County: 502 confirmed cases; 5,687 tested; 32 deaths
- Tuscaloosa County: 519 confirmed cases; 8,561 tested; 12 deaths
- Franklin County: 458 confirmed cases; 1,879 tested; 6 deaths
- Shelby County: 437 confirmed cases; 8,260 tested; 19 deaths
