Arrest Made In West Birmingham Homicide
A man has been arrested and charged with killing Robert Lee Prowell, Jr. June 4.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham police have arrested a man in the shooting death of 22-year-old Robert Lee Prowell in west Birmingham earlier this month. The incident occurred June 4 near Lomb Avenue and McMillon Avenue.
Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said police arrested 24-year-old Otto Alexander Smith Wednesday and charged him with capital murder.

Smith is being held at the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
