Birmingham High School Football Scores: Week 8

BIRMINGHAM, AL — The 2019 high school football season is on the home stretch, with the playoff picture beginning to take shape across the state. Several area teams are still in the postseason hunt, with just a few dames left to play.

This week's match-ups include some games with major playoff and regional implications.

Clay-Chalkville hosts Pell City with the Cougars' clinging to their playoff hopes; Mountain Brook hosts Hewitt-Trussville in a game that can determine a region championship; Ramsay will travel to Wenonah to keep the Rams in the title hunt; Vestavia Hills looks to build on their momentum after a victory last week, playing against top-ranked Thompson; Hoover and Spain Park will face off in a cross-town rivalry game; Pinson Valley plays Huffman; and Hueytown hosts Bessemer City in a battle of ranked teams.
