Police responded to a tip Wednesday morning that Kamille McKinney had been seen at a Birmingham apartment complex.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A heavy police presence was reported at a Birmingham apartment complex in connection with the abduction of 3-year-old Kamille McKinney based on a tip to the Birmingham Police Department. Police confirmed that they did not find the girl in the complex.
The apartment complex is located in the 2700 block of Jefferson Ave. near 28th St. SW.
Earlier reports from local news sources that Kamille had been found safe have been determined to be untrue. Johnny Williams of the Birmingham Police Department confirmed that every apartment in the complex was searched and the girl was not found.
