1 Dead, 1 Hospitalized In Shooting Near Pinson Valley Parkway
Two shooting victims were hospitalized after an incident in east Birmingham Thursday night.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham police are investigating the city's fifth homicide of the year, this time in east Birmingham Thursday night.
Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said two shooting victims drove themselves to a gas station at 4141 Pinson Valley Parkway to call for help. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office contacted the Birmingham police, the the shooting occurred in Birmingham's jurisdiction.
Both victims were taken to UAB Hospital, where 31-year-old Dequaris Lydel Williams was pronounced dead after arrival.
