Dirty Facilities; Outdated Food: September Health Scores
Of the 143 eateries inspected by the JCDH in September, five scored an 85 or below.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — Nearly 150 eateries were inspected by the Jefferson County Department of Health this month, and fortunately, the overwhelming majority of them scored well on their inspections.
However, there were five establishments that scored an 85 or below in their most recent inspection, although two of the facilities are not public restaurants, but wither a school or work cafeteria.
Some of the common offenses this month were failure to maintain food at a proper temperature, and employees with long painted fingernails handing food without gloves.
