Legendary Auburn football coach Pat Dye has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been hospitalized.

AUBURN, AL — One of the most legendary figures in Auburn University football history has tested positive for COVID-19. A report by The Montgonery Advertiser said former Auburn head coach Pat Dye recently tested positive for the virus and has been hospitalized due to kidney problems.
A tweet revealing an email from Toccoa First United Methodist Church said the coach and former AU athletic director tested positive sometime last week.

The email said Dye is "experiencing loss of appetite and some confusion." Dye is 80 years old. He coached Auburn from 1981-1992 and led the Tigers to four SEC championships.
