BIRMINGHAM, AL — The week of Oct. 12-17 saw some significant news from Alabama's secondary education front, as Gadsden State Community College named a new president in Hoover City Schools superintendent Dr. Kathy Murphy, and University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban and athletic director Greg Byrne reportedly tested positive for coronavirus.
