Jackson-Olin, Hueytown Have Players In Top 20 Recruiting List

Jackson-Olin High School has the state's top football recruit, according to one national recruiting poll.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — With high school football season under way this week, schools across the state are kicking off, and eyes are focused on the state's top gridiron stars. And according to at least one national recruiting service, Jackson-Olin High School and Hueytown High School have two of the top 20 recruits in Alabama.

Jackson-Olin linebacker Quandarrius Robinson is listed by recruiting website 24/7 Sports as the top football recruit in Alabama. Robinson, a four-star player who stand 6-foot-5 and weights 217 pounds, has committed to the University of Alabama.

Heuytown running back Roydell Williams, who put up monster numbers last season, is ranked by 24/7 as the no. 5 recruit in Alabama. Williams has also committed to the Crimson Tide.

Jackson-Olin kicks off its season against Fairfield this Friday. Hueytown opens against Homewood Thursday night.
