Last Escaped Inmate Captured in Alabama's Peanut Butter Jailbreak
Two days after inmates escaped from Walker County Jail, the 12th and final escapee was finally captured Tuesday.

JASPER, AL - After two days on the run, the 12th and final escaped inmate from Walker County Jail was captured Tuesday, ending a saga that has gained national attention as the "Peanut Butter Jailbreak" due to the unusual circumstances by which the inmates were able to escape. The inmates used peanut butter to alter the number over an exit, leading an inexperienced guard to open it thinking it was the entrance to a cell.
The 12 inmates, ranging in age from 18 to 30 years old, escaped Sunday.
According to a statement from the Walker County Sheriff's Department, 24-year-old Brady Kilpatrick, the only one of the 12 escapees to get out of Walker County without getting captured, was found in Tequesta, Fla., Tuesday evening after a cooperative manhunt involving the Walker County Sheriff's Department, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, St. Martin County Sheriff's Office, Jupiter Police Department and Miami FBI.
