Local Investors Buy 5 Points South Office Building

The Alamerica Bank building on Highland Avenue has been purchased by a group of local investors.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Birmingham's CW Holdings and Vulcan View Partners have purchased the former Alamerica Bank Building at 2170 Highland Avenue in Birmingham’s historic Five Points South neighborhood.

CW Holdings is comprised of shareholders from Cory Watson Attorneys, and Vulcan View Partners is comprised of principals from Iron Mountain Insurance and Iron Mountain Investments.

“We are excited to join Ernie Cory and his group of shareholders at Cory Watson Attorneys as partners in this endeavor,” said Matt Kilgore, president of Iron Mountain Insurance and Iron Mountain Investments. “Our team looks forward to the move, and gaining much needed space. We are thrilled to be a part of the revitalization and growth of the Five Points South community.”

Cory Watson Attorneys has been located at their headquarters on the corner of Magnolia Ave South and 22nd St South since 1996, and the purchase extends their footprint in Five Points South.

“This was an easy decision for us as a firm,” said Cory Watson Attorneys Co-Founder Ernest Cory. “Our firm has continued to grow since we began more than 37 years ago, and as a longtime member of the area’s business community we were truly excited to partner with Iron Mountain on this purchase.”
