BIRMINGHAM, AL - For about a month straight, Alabama has made national headlines every week for something political, and this past week was no exception. In addition to a major lawsuit filed against the state over its abortion ban, the state also made headlines after Alabama Public Television refused to air a cartoon because of its homosexual content.

In news that caught national sports attention, Alabama's two-time Mr. Basketball finally made his college choice, much to the chagrin of many fans who had hoped he would stay in state.
