National Real Estate Firm Expands Birmingham Presence by Hiring Local Executive
Los Angeles-based real estate firm CBRE has expanded its Birmingham footprint by hiring a local real estate veteran.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A national real estate and investment firm has expanded its footprint in Birmingham by hiring a local real estate veteran. Los Angeles-based CBRE Group announced this week it has hired Shannon Tyndall as a vice president in its retail services department. Tyndall will operate in Birmingham.
A native of Birmingham, Tyndall has been in the real estate business for 18 years, having served as the vice president of real estate for Books-A-Million, and most recently with BUR Commercial, where she was a founding team member and partner. Tyndall oversees a retail portfolio in excess of 5.2 million square feet for institutional and private landlords in the Southeast. “As the Birmingham market diversifies its economy and experiences increased activity, this is a great time to welcome a retail expert onto the team,” said David Lanier, CBRE's senior managing director. “Shannon’s intimate knowledge of the area and deep understanding of all aspects of retail real estate will enhance the level of service we can provide in Birmingham.”

“This is an exciting time to be returning to Birmingham,” Tyndall said. “As Birmingham has added more modern real estate options, retailers have taken notice and expanded in the market or opened in Birmingham. We should continue to see positive strides in retail, in conjunction with more luxury multifamily and creative office space, as the combination of all three attract and retain talent and key consumers.”
