• Former Jeffco deputy indicted in DUI crash that hurt 3, narrowly missed school bus (al.com) — A Center Point resident was among three people injured when an off-duty Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy, allegedly driving under the influence in a patrol SUV, crashed into a sedan on Alabama 75 and triggered a second collision. The former deputy has now been indicted on two counts of first-degree assault in connection with the October wreck, which also narrowly missed a school bus.
