The Central Alabama Community Foundation also awarded money to strengthen the Elmore County Family Resource Center’s outreach, bringing more support to vulnerable households across the county.

The one-year-old, 35‑pound mix is friendly, playful, and good with other dogs. The shelter in Wetumpka outlines adoption fees, what’s included in the cost, and how to start the process online before scheduling a visit.
• Phase One of Kowaliga Public Boat Ramp Renovation Completed (einpresswire.com) — Boaters and anglers in Elmore County now have easier, safer access to Lake Martin with phase one of a $1.8 million renovation at the Kowaliga Public Boat Ramp complete, including more parking and new turn lanes on Highway 63. A second phase in 2026 will add a large access pier and finalize ADA accessibility, backed by partnerships between Elmore County, ADCNR, ECEDA and Russell Lands.
