• City accepts names for streets within new subdivision, ackno... (lagrangenews.com) — LaGrange’s city council has officially accepted and named several streets in the new Canopy Crest subdivision off Youngs Mill Road, along with its water and sewer infrastructure. Council members raised concerns that similar street names like Canopy Crest North and Canopy Crest South could confuse public safety responders, but planners confirmed there are no conflicting names elsewhere in the city. 
• Huzzie commits to play football at Cincinnati (lagrangenews.com) — LaGrange High School standout defensive back Zy Huzzie has committed to continue his football and academic career at the University of Cincinnati, announcing the decision during a ceremony on campus Tuesday. The rising senior, a three-star recruit, even briefly faked out the crowd with a Georgia Southern hat before revealing his Bearcats choice, saying early enrollment in January should speed his development.
