The project reflects the county’s rapid growth and continues Fairhope’s role in a long tradition of community-centered public schools across Baldwin County.

Thirteen Streets To Be Paved This Year (blogspot.com) — Fairhope is moving ahead with its annual paving project, asking contractors to bid on work resurfacing 13 specific streets across town later this year. Segments of Gaston, Ann, Grand, Blue Island, Fig, Volanta, Liberty, Pensacola, Perdido and more are on the list, prioritized by condition and subject to city council approval of the lowest bid.

Junior Ryley Harrison’s dominant weekend against Louisiana helped the Jaguars advance toward Thursday’s conference quarterfinal in Lafayette, giving Fairhope fans another hometown star to cheer for.

Here's What She Says Everyone Should Know About Book Banning (rd.com) — Fairhope readers should know their public library reportedly lost $45,000 in state funding after refusing to move the novel “Sold” out of the young adult section, according to author Patricia McCormick. In a wide-ranging interview on book bans, she describes visiting Fairhope Library, pushback from Moms for Liberty, and how challenges elsewhere are influencing what local librarians feel safe putting on shelves.
