1. Mobile man arrested for rape in Foley (weartv.com) — Foley police have arrested a Mobile man on a first-degree rape charge tied to an August 28 incident reported by an adult victim in the city. Working with Baldwin and Mobile County agencies, officers located and arrested the suspect in Mobile. Investigators are still gathering information and are asking anyone with details to contact the Foley Police Department.
   

2. Fast-growing Foley moves to get ahead of data centers with proposed moratorium (al.com) — Foley officials are planning a Sept. 8 public hearing and vote on a six‑month moratorium for data centers and crypto mining, aiming to study impacts on water, power, noise, and neighborhoods. With Foley among Alabama's fastest‑growing cities, leaders want clear rules in place before any proposals arrive, working closely with Riviera Utilities to protect residents and infrastructure.
   

3. Foley thanks Blankenship for his environmental stewardship (mulletwrapper.net) — Foley's city leaders have honored state conservation chief Chris Blankenship with a proclamation, keys to the city, and a $10,000 scholarship donation recognizing his environmental work in the region.
