• LOCAL SPORTS: Good Hope's Johnson named Athlete of the Week (cullmantimes.com) — Good Hope's senior quarterback Parker Johnson exploded for five touchdowns in a big road win over West Point, earning The Times' Athlete of the Week honor. Several other Good Hope players and nearby Cullman County athletes are also highlighted for standout football, volleyball, and cross-country performances from the past week.
   

• Calvert, Corder named CCBOE Employees of the Month (cullmantimes.com) — A Pre-K teacher at Good Hope Primary School has been named Cullman County Schools' Teacher of the Month, recognized for creating a supportive classroom and mentoring other Pre-K teachers. A Child Development Center staff member was also honored for his strong work ethic and service. Both received Employee of the Month awards sponsored by AmFirst, including a $100 gift card each.
