Hartselle legend: Morgan Sports Hall of Fame to induct Glenn Thompson on June 20 (hartselleenquirer.com) — Longtime Hartselle supporter and former Tiger football star Glenn Thompson will be inducted into the Morgan County Sports Hall of Fame on June 20, honoring decades of impact on local athletics and justice. From filming Hartselle football games since 1979 to founding the Hartselle Scholarship Foundation and helping expand Sparkman Park, his story highlights how one resident has shaped opportunities for generations of Hartselle families.
   

2. ALDOT announces portion of I-65 to temporarily close in Morgan County (whnt.com) — If you rely on I-65 near Hartselle, expect a major detour as ALDOT closes northbound lanes at Exit 318 for bridge repairs, sending passenger vehicles along Thompson Road in Hartselle. The closure begins Tuesday evening, may extend into Wednesday, and includes shifting traffic to US-31 with troopers and temporary signals managing the flow.
   

3. Falkville will allow alcohol sales after review finds unqualified ballot didn't affect outcome (whnt.com) — Falkville has officially certified its May 19 vote to move from dry to wet, clearing the way for legal alcohol sales once a local ordinance is adopted. For Hartselle residents, it means another nearby town will soon join Hartselle and other neighboring cities that already allow alcohol sales, potentially shifting shopping and dining patterns around Morgan County.
   

4. Stadthagen vows 'no backroom deals' with ALGOP's Tuberville residency challenge proceedings (1819news.com) — Hartselle’s own State Rep. Scott Stadthagen, now chairing the Alabama Republican Party, says he’ll ensure full transparency as the party hears a residency challenge against GOP gubernatorial nominee Sen. Tommy Tuberville. He promises the hearing and final decision will happen the same day, with details shared publicly afterward.
