Owners Sheri and Scott Adner are moving on, while a longtime employee plans to open a new burger restaurant in the same space as soon as next month. 
• Appellate court upholds capital murder conviction in murder-for-hire plot (hartselleenquirer.com) — An Alabama appeals court has upheld capital murder convictions for Logan McKinley Delp, the gunman in a 2020 Hartselle murder-for-hire plot that killed Hartselle resident Anthony Larry Sheppard. Judges rejected Delp’s claim that he acted in defense of a child, leaving him and mastermind Jaclyn Elaine Skuce serving life without parole while three co-defendants serve 20-year terms.
• Hartselle thrift store asking for help to ID car/driver who allegedly threw dead kittens into parking lot (rocketcitynow.com) — Three Bees Thrift & More on Highway 31 in Hartselle is asking nearby residents and businesses to review security footage after someone allegedly threw two dead kittens into its parking lot Monday night. The incident, reported to police, happened around 9:11 p.m., and the store hopes clearer video will reveal the vehicle or license plate.
