• Former Corrections Officers Indicted in Blount County Jail Inmate Death (abc3340.com) — A 23-year-old Hayden resident died after an incident at the Blount County Detention Center, and two former corrections officers now face felony murder and assault charges in his death. State investigators say they’ll present evidence the inmate was repeatedly tased while suffering a serious diabetic condition. The allegations have not yet been proven in court, and both defendants remain jailed.
