• Madison County breaks ground on two new storm shelters (rocketcitynow.com) — Hazel Green is getting a new storm shelter at the New Sharon Senior Center, part of a Madison County project that also adds a shelter in New Market. Funded by a $50,000 grant and county support, construction bidding starts next week, giving Hazel Green residents a closer, safer option when severe weather hits.
