• Walker County Commission delays budget vote, extends data center moratorium (wdef.com) — Chickamauga residents should know Walker County has extended its moratorium on new data centers for six months, but that rule only covers unincorporated areas, so cities must set their own standards. Commissioners also delayed a vote on the 2027 budget after pushback over possible property tax or fee increases and plans to add fire department positions.
