Church on the Bluff honors Pastor Tony Barber for 20 years of leadership (hooversun.com) — Members of Church on the Bluff in Hoover recently honored Pastor Tony Barber for 20 years of leadership with a special worship service, program, and luncheon. The celebration included recognition from the Birmingham Metro Baptist Association, Hoover Mayor Nick Derzis, and Gov. Kay Ivey, highlighting Barber's long-standing spiritual and community impact on Hoover families.
   

4. BUSA, Alabama FC prep to host 2026 Birmingham Bash in Shelby... (shelbycountyreporter.com) — Youth soccer families in Hoover will see fields packed this weekend as the Birmingham Bash tournament brings more than 400 teams from 10 states to sites including Hoover, Alabaster, Calera, Dunnavant Valley and Mountain Brook. Organizers say it's Alabama's largest single-weekend youth sporting event, making the southern metro area a major fall destination for competitive soccer.
