HOOVER, AL — The Hoover Police Department has made an arrest in a robbery captured on video in May. The Hoover PD posted video footage of the robbery at Gallery Smoke on Lorna Road on social media in June.

Police say the suspect told an employee that he was interested in buying a large quantity of Myrtle Creek Hemp Flower CBD product. After the employee placed the box of CBD product on the counter and turned away, the suspect grabbed the box and ran out of the store. He got into an unknown dark colored sedan and fled the scene.

According to Hoover police, tips came in and detectives were able to identify Derrick Montez Cistrunk as the suspect. A felony theft of property warrant was issued on June 20th. He was arrested Sunday without incident in Birmingham.
