Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:

  1. The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center in Huntsville has been recognized as the first U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) organization to receive an award for Army Safety and Occupational Health Star Recognition. This award has been four years in the making, while Huntsville integrated safety into all aspects of the office. (WHNT)
  2. Rose of Sharon Soup Kitchen has made their partnership with Landers McClarty Subaru official by kicking off the “Year of Love.” They chose the theme because both organizations prioritize taking care of family. The “Year of Love” started yesterday. (WAFF)
  3. The Huntsville Career Center is hosting an Amazon job fair. It will be June 27-28 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. There are several positions hiring and they’re looking to hire several hundred people to fill these positions according to the career center’s manager. (WHNT)
  4. Huntsville made another list of best places to live in the country! They came in at number 31 on Niche’s list and was the only city in Alabama to crack the top 100. (AL.com)
  5. Union Chapel Missionary Baptist will be giving away food boxes this Saturday. They will start at 8 a.m. and give one box per vehicle until the boxes are gone. (WHNT)
