Up and at ‘em, Huntsville! It’s finally the weekend! I’ve got your weekend update so you can catch up and get out to enjoy the time! In today’s Daily, we’ll look at a man arrested for alleged terrorism threats at Walmart, what Athens citizens think about the new houses, and what America’s Funniest Home Videos has to do with a town in our area!

- Christopher Lee Brown of Cullman was arrested Thursday at the Hartselle Walmart on terrrorism threat charges. Walmart could not give Brown a refund on some propane bottles, and he allegedly told employees that he would come back with the bottles made into a bomb. (WAFF)
- Colorado is continuing the fight to house the permanent Space Command headquarters according to Meghan Lopez. Colorado Springs mayor John Suthers has made comments about incentives they offered to keep Space Command in Colorado, such as free land and grants for childcare. (Denver Channel)
- After the announcement of more homes near Lindsay Lane in Athens, many people are concerned about the traffic problems they will cause, according to reporter Madison Scarpino. The city is making sure the plans have ways to turn and help traffic flow, and Mayor Marks says that they hope to add another lane or two in the future. (WAFF)
- Huntsville City Schools is looking for 6 students (one from each high school) and 10 parents/guardians to be part of their Desegregation Advisory Committee. The U.S. Department of Justice is working with HCS to implement a Consent Order to provide equitable educational opportunities regardless of race. (WZDX)
- At an informal meeting with the Huntsville City Council members Wednesday, most said that they were in favor of releasing body cam footage to the public. Council President Jennie Robinson said they needed to be able to protect the rights of individuals that may be involved. (AL.com)
