Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:
- The Community Action Partnership of Huntsville-Madison and Limestone Counties has received a $3.37 million grant. The funds will allow them to help in the community and support those that need a little bit of help keeping their house warm or cool through 2023. (WZDX)
- At the council meeting tonight, it is expected that an ordinance will be introduced to annex a portion of Limestone County. The nearly 1221 acres would be between Highway 31 and I-65 and will be listed as the Haney Annexation. There will be another annexation ordinance on the agenda, the Sanderson Annexation, which would mean a half-acre expansion. (News Courier)
- The newest Mapco location in Huntsville is now open. A portion of the proceeds from its “Fueling Our Future” pump for the first month will be donated to Huntsville High’s athletic program. (WZDX)
