Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:
- Over 100 individuals with diverse backgrounds came together at Big Spring to show their support for the people in the Ukraine. While those in attendance were against what Putin is currently doing, they were not anti-Russian according to a Russian native at the rally. (WHNT)
- The Huntsville area was well-represented at the AHSAA Basketball State Championship Finals! The ladies of the Lee Generals and the boys of Decatur Heritage and James Clemens all brought home second place, and the ladies of Hazel Green and the Lee Generals boys brought back state titles! - Schools in the Madison County area were ranked highly in Niche’s latest ranking! Madison City Schools was #2 for all school districts in the state. Several individual schools also made the lists for top-ranked elementary and secondary schools. (themadisonrecord.com)
- A hunter-harvested wild duck has tested positive for avian influenza in Limestone County. The risk is low to people, but since it is so contagious amongst birds, it is recommended that you wear gloves when handling any harvested ducks. (WAFF)
