  1. Police are looking for a suspect in the armed robbery that occurred yesterday. The robbery was at Regions Bank in Madison and took place between 9:50-10 a.m. and the suspect is a black male that was wearing an army sweatshirt, camo pants, and a wig. (WAFF)
  2. Jazz in the Park is back live and in-person this year! September 4, 18, and 25 will be held at Big Spring Park and September 11 will be at the Orion all starting at 5 p.m. The lineup has been released, and you can check it out in this Patch article! (Patch)
  3. Madison City Schools is taking a look at their safety protocols over the summer after the Uvalde, Texas mass school shooting. They worked with the chief of the Madison Police Department to increase the police presence the day after, since not every school building has a school resource officer (SRO). According to Dr. Nichols, the superintendent, the goal is to make sure each school building does have SROs starting in the fall. (WHNT News 19)
  4. HuntsvilleCon will be debuting this month! This comic-con will be June 25 at Embassy Suites. Tickets are available now, and each adult ticket will allow one child under 11 to enter for free. (WHNT News 19)
  5. The intersection of Jordan Road, Tanglefoot Drive, and Nance Road is now closed. This closure is set to last around five months while a roundabout is built. (WAFF)
