Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:
- Videos have been shared on social media of who is believed to be Jason Watts, the James Clemens assistant principal, in a physical altercation with a student. According to Superintendent Dr. Ed Nichols, this occurred after the staff were forced to get involved to break up a fight between students. Nichols also said that the assistant principal (the employee's title has been confirmed, but the school he works at and his name have not been confirmed) will not be facing any punishments because he had the right to defend himself. (WAFF)
- Yesterday, a man was found dead at the Polaris plant inside a vehicle by his wife. No foul play is suspected at this time. (AL.com)
- The North American Tour of "Aladdin" is headed to the Rocket City! You can get tickets now to see the show between Feb. 28 and March 5 at the VBC. (WAFF)
- A group from HEMSI delivered an ambulance full of presents to the Pre-K students at the YMCA Downtown Early Childhood Education Center. Each gift was labeled and designated for a specific child. They will be headed to another YMCA in Huntsville with more gifts today! This interaction is not only to give gifts, but to allow the kids to have a positive interaction with paramedics so they're less likely to be scared should they ever need help. (WHNT News 19)
