- The Athens Police Department has initiated an Eagle Watch program. This would allow businesses and individuals to register their surveillance cameras and if there is a crime committed, they will be contacted to see if they have any clips that could help or would allow a detective to view their footage. - The UAH baseball team took on Lee University on the road Friday and won 6-1. All six points for the Chargers came from the fourth inning that included a two-run home run from Daniel McCary. (UAH)
- There is an end in sight for the road work on Hughes Road! The widening project that was supposed to end in March 2021 but had delays due to coordinating with Huntsville Utilities and COVID issues is now expected to be finished by the end of this year. (themadisonrecord.com)
- Huntsville Utilities has partnered with the Schools Foundation, which helps all three school systems in the county, by allowing customers to round up their bill to the nearest dollar and donate the change to the foundation. (WHNT)
- Part of Goose Ridge Drive will be closed starting at 7 a.m. Monday and is set to reopen Tuesday at 4 p.m. There will be local access, and detours will be on Trail Meadow Drive and Meadow Creek Circle. (WAFF)
