  1. Lewter Hardware’s Donnie Lewter passed away last week. The hardware store was started in 1928 by Donnie Lewter’s great grandfather and has been a community staple ever since. (Lewter’s Hardware Company)
  2. Two escaped Morgan County inmates have been captured in Madison County. The inmates were on work release yesterday and were suspected of taking a van from the business they were working in. (WAAY)
  3. This week is Athens State University’s week-long celebration of 200 years serving students. Tonight, there will be a concert with the Athens State University Community Band. Make sure you check ahead of time, because some events require registration due to limited seating. (News Courier)
