Here are the top stories today in Huntsville:
- Yesterday, the Regions on Madison Boulevard was robbed by a man in a mask. The bomb squad was called to investigate a box the thief put on the counter, but it was determined to be non-lethal. Nothing is known about the suspect's appearance or vehicle. (WHNT News 19)
- The "Sanders Family Christmas Play" will be back at Burritt on the Mountain this week! The showings will start Dec. 14 and run through Dec. 18. Tickets will be $30, and some showings are already sold out so make sure to get your tickets. (themadisonrecord.com)
- Three schools in North Alabama received false reports of shootings on the campuses Tuesday. The schools were Jemison in Madison City Schools, West Morgan High in Morgan County, and Wilson High in Lauderdale County. None of the threats were found to have any credibility and the schools were taken off of lockdown. (WAFF)
- A first reading of the ordinance regarding medical marijuana dispensaries was presented at the Madison City Council meeting. After a discussion of tabling the matter until the New Year, a decision was ultimately made to vote at the Dec. 19 meeting. (The Madison Record)
