Here are the top stories in Huntsville today:

  1. Limestone Sheriff Mike Blakely was found guilty on two charges and not guilty on eight other charges. He was found guilty on the charges of theft of property in the first degree and use of his position for personal gain. (WAFF)
  2. Madison City Schools will begin requiring masks when students start back on August 4. Masks will be required in all indoor facilities, but will not be required outside for extended day. (WHNT)
  3. Calhoun Community College’s Career Services Department has partnered with Amazon. They will be hosting a series of FREE career information sessions. (themadisonrecord.com)
  4. The Von Braun took down their outdoor stage ahead of plans. This is because with no mask mandate and the venue being back to full capacity, they can save money and use the equipment that was already set up indoors. (AL.com)
  5. Madison County Schools announced in a meeting last night that they will keep masks optional for the beginning of the school year. They will be required on buses. (WHNT)
