Stitches for Love is a group of knitters and crocheters that use our gifts and talents to serve the community. Help make washcloths for Shower Up, Knitted Knockers for breast cancer survivors, chemo caps, baby hats and baby blankets.
We meet the first Saturday of every month in the Creative Commons.

Families are invited to a heartwarming and educational “Teddy Bear Clinic,” where children can explore child‑friendly medical tools, learn about the Child Life Program, and then guide their own stuffed animals through a playful check‑up experience.
Join us at the New Hope Public Library for a free, family‑friendly “Teddy Bear Clinic” designed to ease children’s fears about medical visits through play, learning, and imagination. We're excited to welcome pediatrician and former Library Foundation Board Member Dr. Kym Middleton.
Afterward, the children will step into the role of caregiver as they bring their own teddy bear or favorite stuffie through a gentle, pretend medical check‑up. This interactive experience helps build confidence, encourages empathy, and turns a routine health concept into something fun and approachable.
The event is free to attend, and youth of all ages are encouraged to participate. Bring a stuffed friend and enjoy a morning of learning, comfort, and creativity.

South Huntsville Public Library

Join us at the South Huntsville Public Library as we learn all about honeybees and native bees in your backyard.
Jeff is a Journeyman in the Alabama Master Beekeeper’s Program, as well as an Alabama Master Gardener and President of the Madison County Beekeepers’ Association.&nbsp;He got his first bees by rescuing an abandoned colony in 2023, and dove completely into beekeeping at that time.&nbsp;He manages 40-50 colonies at Rainbow’s End Apiary in Harvest AL with his daughter-in-law, Jillian, as well as being the volunteer beekeepers for the Huntsville Botanical Garden.
