  1. Calhoun’s Esports program is competing at nationals this week! The 2v2 “CoD: Cold War Gunfight” team lost to Barton CC, but the 4v4 “CoD: Vanguard” is taking on Gogebic CC today in the semifinals. (Calhoun)
  2. Kids’ Space at John Hunt Park is set to close next week in anticipation of the renovation to the playground. This will be a 14-month project. (Huntsville)
  3. The Huntsville City Council has hired an architecture firm to design renovations for the old Coca-Cola bottling plant downtown. There will be lofts, retail space, offices, a parking garage, a new hotel, and space for food and drink vendors. (AL.com)
  4. The BBB is hosting a Huntsville Shred Day at Calhoun on Saturday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Electronics under 100 pounds will also be accepted. Cardboard, plastic, metal, and binders will not be accepted. (WAAY)
